The Walkabout - a Brown Brothers Special Report 11/24/04

One of the Brown Brothers family is going on walkabout. The engineer, the guy responsible for making Brown Brothers audio the highest quality in the recording business, is following his dream: itinerant music-making. The tour started at Brown Brothers World Headquarters in the heart of New York City on Wednesday, November 9, 2004. During this first leg of the tour, a hearty lunch was had by all Brown Brothers in the excellent steakhouse-pub Keen's and we got a first listen to some tracks from the engineer's latest project: the re-recording of songs by the never famous band Gooch Meatball. The engineer ate a bacon cheeseburger and a lot of bread and butter and played some Smashing Pumpkins-esque excerpts from the Meatball project. The tour continues this weekend in Weehawken, New Jersey for some introspection and planning. We will keep you posted on the engineer's whereabouts and project updates. One project sure to be worked during the tour: The Declaration of Schmindependence (the truth about schmagiggles, a semblance). The Declaration is a never ending song whose lyrics are generated on a daily basis. Stay tuned, he may be coming to your town soon if you have a couch and some extra food. Submit all applications to provide the engineer's lodging for the tour to Brown Brothers Recordings.
