Jerk chicken at "Court Cafe" in Foley Square , lower Manhattan -- Just go to the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge and walk one or two blocks uptown. Across from the two large, colonnaded courthouses is a non-descript, bus-your-own tray abomination with a steam table of various dishes kitty corner to a pizza and fried chicken grease-fest. Order the jerk chicken with rice and peas and tell the white-smocked dude to load extra sauce from the jerk chicken on the rice. This stuff is fiery, salty and delicious. Get extra beverages.

Teenage Fanclub, "Songs from Northern Britain" (1997). The great lost pop album from the 1990s. This album should have done the Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync numbers. It is nothing less than the most mature, introspective pop record made.
